The Art Department is pleased to announce Mitchell Villa as the next Artist in Residence at Philosophy MD, as part of the clinic’s ongoing commitment to supporting local artists and creating intentional spaces where art and wellbeing intersect. 

The exhibition features 11 works by Villa, including a selection of tablescapes developed through his ongoing collaboration with Nimmo Bay Resort, as well as the first presentation of his ceramic works. Together, these works explore the cultural power of food as both subject and social catalyst, inviting viewers to engage with art in a contemplative setting.

Philosophy MD’s rotating Artist in Residence program provides a platform for contemporary artistic practice while enriching the clinic environment for patients and visitors alike. By integrating art throughout the space, the program reflects a shared belief in beauty as an essential component of wellbeing.
